Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington

The core of this collection is 19 scrapbooks holding clippings, promotional materials, invitations, and other documentation of the JCC's activities from the late 1910s through the 1980s. Learn the history of the area's JCCs here and here.

The Young Mens' Hebrew Association was the predecessor to the JCC. This 1918 newsletter cover shows an image of the building the YMHA had just moved into at the corner of 11th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
