Director of Development
The Lillian & Albert Small Jewish Museum at the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington is looking for a strong leader to help our long-established organization as we shift into high gear—inventing and building a new museum that explores the past, present and future of Jewish Washington. The Director of Development will lead our capital campaign for the construction of the museum and promote awareness and support of the organization through annual giving, board relations, and membership planning.
The Jewish Historical Society offers year-round volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
- Office help (filing, mailings, etc.)
- Archival Collections/Curatorial
- Programs (walking tours, events, etc.)
- Youth Education
Gain valuable museum/public history experience while learning about D.C.-area Jewish history and contributing to our team as we build a new museum!
