Dr. Jack Minker
Dr. Jack Minker became Professor of Computer Science at the University of Maryland in 1971. Since 1973, he has served as Computer Science Vice-Chair of the Committee of Concerned Scientists. In addition, he acted as Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Scientific Freedom and Human Rights of the Association for Computing Machinery (1980-1989). In 2012, Minker published Scientific Freedom and Human Rights: Scientists of Conscience During the Cold War.
