Stained glass window

Housed in one of the oldest remaining commercial buildings in Washington, Litwin’s antique furniture store at 637 Indiana Avenue, NW, was one of the last remaining furniture stores that once crowded the 7th Street neighborhood. Store owner Fred Litwin purchased this stained glass window – originally from a Brooklyn synagogue – in 1980. For over twenty years, until Litwin closed his shop in 2003, the window hung in the back of his store.
